Abstract
This work analyzes the correlation between euthanasia and eugenics. The two phenomena were taken into consideration by analysing primarily the historical-philosophical context in which they originated, identifying the inspirers, the founders and the main characters who have advocated such ideas. Subsequently, the author retraced their evolution, both conceptual and legal, analysing the changes in content and form, as well as the modalities with which they were proposed to the population. The final aim is based on the parallel analysis of the two phenomena, which identify the relationships of interconnection and clarify their nature. The thesis states that the euthanasia, in its modern meaning, is believed to be one of the main means of eugenics, not yet abandoned.
