Abstract

This assay surveys the discipline of collation and first gives us an excursus on manifold theories disputed on the subject, to identify its legal basis. Thus, special attention is paid to the more complex matters or points that are still subject of debate. A broad view of solutions, suggested from doctrine and law, is here provided.
Specific examination is granted to the topic of indirect donations, mostly concerning the hypothesis of the so-called registration of assets on behalf of others. This supposition, as well-known, have given rise to an heated querelle in relation to the quantum to confer on.
Moreover a large treatment is reserved to donation of usufruct, due to the problems that it can arise when is conferred.
