Abstract

The essay of Gabriele Civello is a summary of the work “Come si pone il problema metafisico”, which  contains all the lessons held by Marino Gentile during the 1952 classes in Bressanone (Bolzano – Italy), within Padua University summer courses.
The author emphasizes the M. Gentile’s aim of searching an uniform theoretical “root” behind the classical (and chiefly Aristotelic) metaphysic and modern Kantian criticism, romantic idealism and neo-idealistic thought.
M. Gentile found this  homogeneous “root ” in the fundamental role played by the experience (empeirìa) and history (historìa) both in classical metaphysic and in the Kantian and post-Kantian philosophy, closing with the centrality of the daily existence of the man inwards the metaphysic matter.
