Abstract: Fiction of Reality: Carnelutti as a Writer of Images
This paper aims to explore the reflections of Francesco Carnelutti on cinema and law. It follows two main directions: the first examines how the jurist contributed to the seventh art after World War II by writing screenplays, contributing to a cinema magazine, and attending film sets. The second analyses the role of cinema as evidence in trial and historical testimony. Cinema’s ability to represent and affect social reality is the leitmotif that links both directions.
