Abstract: Becoming a Criminal Law Jurist. A Reflection on the Ius Terribile in Times of Porous Borders
The paper moves from the heterogeneity of Francesco Carnelutti’s legal experience, of which criminal law is identified, through a selection of writings, as a fil rouge, if not an authentic signifier and a vocationally focal point, in the light of which the definition of criminal law as “law of being” is enriched with unitive dimensions. The path proves to be of specific interest to the contemporary criminal law jurist, grappling with the porous boundaries of his discipline.
