Abstract: Depictions of the Criminal Process in Francesco Carnelutti
Through the analysis of three metaphors, this paper aims to provide three different perspectives on the criminal process, which can, however, be traced back to Carnelutti’s unitary idea: to generate the awareness that law is not enough to fulfil the fundamental needs of man and the demands of civilisation. Law, then, is necessary but not sufficient: it finds its perfection in love.
