Abstract: Scattered Remarks on the Act of Command
This paper focuses on certain aspects of the act of command, and attempts to shed light on the ways in which commands operate within positive legal systems and with which they deploy their binding effects. To this end, I will move from some considerations of Norberto Bobbio about basic legal acts, making them react critically with research in social ontology, in particular with some of John R. Searle’s theses on the foundational role of ordinary language in the construction of social reality.
