Globalización económica y postmodernidad decadente

Jesús Ballesteros20-39

Abstract: Economic Globalization and Decadent Postmodernity.

Globalization is based on the cultural assumptions of economism. That is, on the absolutization of market, on the idea that does not exists anything extra commercium and on the thesis of the absolute freedom of capital. Such approach fit perfectly with post-structuralism and with the cultural decadence that it implies and supposes. How can we avoid that the globalization of capitals ends up increasing inequalities, seriously damaging the environment and the rights of the poorest sections of the population? This essay focuses on similar questions, supporting the need of an ethical finance, so that its legitimate demands for development would not prevent society from being supportive, welcoming and inclusive.
