Abstract: University under Quarantine

This article describes how the Covid 19 regulations enhanced some negative factors that already affected the Italian University. It is shown that these measures decreased the authority of scientific research and trust in its results. Science development was submitted to administrative powers and focus moved from basic theory to technology and economic results. It is suggested that, at last in the field of social sciences, scientific research lost capacity of representing the reality of facts.
